ORDERING I only ever take one commission per date, and so once a date has been booked, I won’t take another order. I always recommend that you book as soon as you can to avoid disappointment, as wedding cakes are often ordered a year in advance, so remember to book early! To enjoy my cakes at their best, they need to mature and develop their flavour. I would ask for you to ideally let me have a minimum of 3 months notice for wedding cakes (especially during the busy summer months), and at least 6 weeks for other celebration cakes. I can sometimes work miracles though, and recently completed a 14” birthday cake from start to finish in less than a week!! So, get in touch if you need a cake quickly, and I’ll see what I can do.
PRICING If you are interested in ordering a cake, give me a call or drop me an email sue@tiercelebrationcakes.co.uk to discuss initial ideas and outline prices. The next stage will be to set up a no obligation meeting to discuss the design and costing in more detail. Prices for a three tier wedding cake with a simple spray of sugar flowers start from £350, and the cost of your cake will depend upon the complexity of the design and therefore the amount of time taken to create it, this can of course be tailored to your budget. On booking your cake I ask for a £50 booking fee which guarantees your date - this date is then yours and won’t be double booked. Once I start work on the cake, I ask for a deposit of 30-50% (dependant on the final cost of the cake). The balance is due one week before the big day. Everything will be included in my final quote, including all the design work, stand hire, local delivery and set up. A small mileage charge is made for deliveries outside the local area, but beyond that there will be no additional costs - unless you ask for something additional of course!
